Day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Maintain a clean, safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment across Council offices, accommodation quarters (in some service locations), and other designated Council facilities.
* Ensure all areas are presented to a high standard and support the health, safety, and comfort of staff, customers and visitors.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who loves working collaboratively within a small team to ensure the cleanliness and safety of designated areas. This position requires a strong commitment to following safety protocols, especially regarding the handling of chemicals. As a Cleaner, you will play an essential role in maintaining our operational standards.
You will bring:
* Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices.
* Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Other Requirements
* Criminal History Check (issued within the last 3 months)
* Current Working with Children's Clearance (Ochre Card)
* A valid driver's license
* Willingness to wear PPE and follow all WHS requirements
* Chemical Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
