An exciting opportunity is currently available to join an established commercial contractor here in Melbourne turning over $200M. The business has a strong track record in delivering government, health, education, office refurb and mixed commercial projects within the Victorian construction sector. Over the past 24 months the business has invested in the development of its small works team which navigate and deliver works up to $10M in value. With the early establishment of this new business unit we are currently seeking an estimator who can both price these works in a stand alone independent capacity as well as be positioned in their career to grow into a leadership role and estimating management role as the business continues to expand. In this function you will work with the preconstruction team, general manager and Directors and have a steady pipeline of work from day one. Whilst projects will lead up to $20M in construction value in time, you will need to be able to role your sleaves up and price projects from $1M HVAC upgrades through to $10M new build or refurb works and everything in between. This role would best suit someone with 3 -10 years post grad experience who can work in both a collaborative team environment or independently with strong communication skills and an ability to regularly attend site walks, client meetings and management meetings.
