About Our Research Position
Our Institute for Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Translation (IMPACT) is seeking a skilled academic to lead our research initiatives in the intersection of physical activity and mental health.
Job Description
The appointed researcher will be responsible for investigating the effects of exercise and lifestyle interventions on the prevention and management of mental health disorders. This includes exploring the bidirectional relationship between physical health and psychological well-being in diverse populations, developing, evaluating, and implementing scalable interventions to improve public health outcomes at community, national, and international levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead multidisciplinary projects that bridge clinical, epidemiological, and behavioural sciences.
* Develop high-quality teaching materials and supervise postgraduate research students in relevant disciplines.
* Secure competitive funding for research initiatives and produce high-impact scholarly outputs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful, you'll have evidence of leadership and authorship of multiple high-impact journal publications. Proven ability to independently lead research initiatives and secure funding is also essential. Additionally, demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality teaching and supervising postgraduate students is required.
