Job Description
We are seeking a talented Learning Systems Administrator to join our prestigious university in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of the Faculty's Education Portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality online learning experiences.
The primary focus of this position is on learning systems pedagogy, staff engagement, and operational management of enterprise learning systems. A core responsibility is the transfer and upload of course content and information to Moodle, ensuring seamless and effective online learning delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Front-end administration of educational learning platforms including Moodle, Turnitin, Mahara, H5P, Poll Everywhere, Panopto, Feedback Fruits.
* Transfer and upload course materials, assessments, and resources to Moodle, ensuring accurate and efficient implementation.
* Stay informed on emerging trends in learning systems, evaluating new developments and their impact on teaching and learning.
* Provide expert advice on technical issues and implement procedures to prevent recurrence.
* Research and develop new methodologies to enhance the delivery of flexible teaching and learning.
* Contribute to the development of quality learning systems and practices through active collaboration with stakeholders.
* Ability to develop clear and effective instructional documents to support processes, training, or system use.
* Design and deliver training programs that teach users how to effectively use educational technology platforms and tools.
* Portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the ability to use elearning authoring tools for creating online content.
* Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Calendar)
* Intermediate web authoring knowledge (HTML, CSS & W3C accessibility standards).
Requirements include extensive experience with learning management systems such as Moodle, Turnitin, and Google Apps for Education, as well as strong understanding of e-learning pedagogy, instructional design, and educational technologies.
