What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?
You would be employed by Work & Training - one of the largest employers of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship.
You would be part of a committed team and under guidance of the site supervisor.
Theory training is conducted in the workplace.
Your Work & Training Apprenticeship Consultant provides mentoring and employment support.
Learn how to:
Assist in commercial construction of large scale developments.
Undertake formwork and suspended slabs.
Safely demolish existing structures, renovate and extend current structures.
Work safely on busy building sites, alongside of other trade persons.
Utilise power tools safely and in accordance to WHS policies and procedures.
Desired attributes:
2nd of 3rd year Out of Trade Carpentry Apprentices or
Qualified Carpentry tradesmen looking for a new challenge in Southern Tasmania.
Essential attributes:
Hold a current drivers licence and a reliable vehicle.
Have a White Card
Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
