Join our Brisbane based firm as a Solicitor - exposed to exciting work with Queensland Government employees on the front line, as well as opportunities to be involved in criminal and class action litigation.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years post admission experience or a relevant background in employment, administrative and/or criminal law. They will also be a talented communicator, with proven experience to allow them to work autonomously to communicate with new clients, manage existing files and advise senior managers on the appropriate way in which to manage their matters. Whilst previous experience will be favourable, we will consider an applicant with experience in other areas of law who are willing to develop their experience in the employment, administrative and/or criminal law space.
Must hold current practising certificate and be admitted to practice in Queensland (or eligible for admission)
As a capable Solicitor, you will be expected to work autonomously, abide by deadlines, and propose sensible and ethical solutions to problems. It is expected that the ideal candidate will have strong advocacy skills, superior knowledge and research skills, and a keen interest in expanding their knowledge.
Proficiency in legal research databases (such as Westlaw or LexisNexis) and case management software
Court appearance experience preferred but not essential - training will be provided
