About Warehouse Management Role
Warehouse management involves overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. It requires effective coordination between various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and minimize costs.
We are seeking an experienced warehouse manager who can lead our team and implement best practices in inventory control, stockroom organization, and shipping logistics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues across departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Inventory & Stockroom Management: Oversee the accurate counting and recording of stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and maintain optimal stockroom organization.
* Shipping & Logistics: Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries, verify shipment details, and monitor freight costs.
* Team Leadership: Provide coaching and guidance to warehouse staff, set clear expectations, and foster a culture of productivity and safety.
* Safety & Quality: Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
* Cost Optimization: Analyze and optimize warehouse operations to reduce waste and minimize costs.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in warehousing or distribution supervisory roles.
* Strong understanding of logistics principles, including inventory management and transportation optimization.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, such as WHS/chain of responsibility.
* Previous experience working with CHEP/LOSCAM pallet accounts and WMS systems.
