This is a systems engineer position at an Australian company. The role involves developing and designing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic hardware for autonomous haulage systems.
Responsibilities Include
* Developing mechanical designs that meet product reliability, functionality and cost requirements
* Engaging with stakeholders to manage and mitigate risks relevant to the AHS design
* Providing guidance and advice on systems engineering to internal and external customers
* Conducting field testing, trials and analysis on designed systems
* Representing the team at development partner and customer meetings
* Assisting the AHS project team with other duties as required

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics or Mechatronics) and eligibility for IEAust membership
* Experience in intensive systems design projects (min. 2 years)
* Ability to travel internationally
* Development experience with heavy, off-road or mining vehicles and/or AHS (desirable)
* Tertiary qualifications in Project Management (desirable)
* Post Graduate level qualification in Engineering or related discipline (desirable)
