Job Overview
This position involves hands-on supervision of a team of tradespeople and performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the work of a crew of 19 tradespeople.
* Carry out complex mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks on heavy equipment.
* Delegation of assignments, monitor progress and ensure efficient completion of tasks to the required standard.
* Provide timely updates and act as a liaison between the team, management and clients.
* Demonstrate best practices in fault finding and troubleshooting.
* Perform quality control checks to ensure standard of work meets client requirements.
Requirements
* Mobile Plant, Heavy Diesel or Auto Electrician Trade Qualification with post-trade experience.
* Previous experience in a leadership or Leading Hand position is desirable.
* Understanding of heavy equipment and warranty processes.
* Knowledge of AMT, SIS, DBS for daily work order control and management.
* Strong mechanical skills including fault finding and diagnostic techniques.
* Ability to provide positive leadership, manage people and resolve conflict.
