We are working with a well-established mechanical contractor delivering large-scale HVAC projects across Sydney. They are currently looking for a HVAC Project Manager to take ownership of a major high-rise apartment project.
This role is open to either an experienced Project Manager or a junior PM looking to step up, particularly someone with a strong HVAC trade background and experience working on large commercial projects.
You will be responsible for managing the project from award through to commissioning and handover, working closely with site supervisors, subcontractors, and installation teams. Initially the role will be office-based during the early stages, before transitioning to site near Alexandria as the project progresses.
Projects are typically delivered under a Design & Construct model, installing VRF / VRV HVAC systems on large commercial and residential developments.
The Role
* Manage HVAC projects from award through to commissioning and handover
* Deliver large commercial / high-rise projects
* Manage site supervisors, subcontractors and installation teams
* Coordinate project schedules, site activities and client communication
* Assist with procurement and materials planning with support from the office team
* Manage variations, budgeting and cost tracking
* Work between the office and site near Alexandria
* Focus on one major project at a time
About You
* Experience in the HVAC / mechanical services industry
* Background working on commercial construction projects
* Experience in roles such as Project Manager, Junior Project Manager, Project Engineer, Site Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman or Leading Hand
* Trade-qualified HVAC professional or engineering-qualified candidate
* Experience delivering or assisting on large projects or high-rise developments
* Ability to manage subcontractors, site teams and demanding clients
* Experience with VRF / VRV systems highly regarded
* Candidates looking to step up into their first Project Manager role will be considered
Salary: $120K – $160K + company car
