About the role:
As the Accounts Payable Officer, reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments across all GrainCorp entities while maintaining strong adherence to established procedures and policies.
In this role, you will also
* Process invoices accurately and timely in accordance with company policies, to meet agreed payment terms, comply with GST legislation requirements and the company's financial delegations' matrix
* Issue and maintain corporate cards and support employees in using them and enforcing compliance to corporate card policy and procedures
* Respond to accounts payable inquiries through the query management system and phone calls, ensuring timely and professional resolution
* Support employees in the use of the expense management system for reconciliation of card transactions and expense reimbursements
* Create system generated payment files, scheduling manual payments as required, and ensuring successful completion of payments including following up approvals
Our successful candidate will have the following
* 1–2 years' experience in Accounts Payable
* Strong focus on high-volume invoice processing in a fast-paced environment
* Prior experience using OCR-based invoice processing tools preferred
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing invoices
