A new possibility awaits a suitably qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the established Recovery and Day Surgery department at a private hospital in Darwin. This can be either a full-time or part-time position.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care;
* Providing a high standard of care in accordance with each individual's level of experience and education, while maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment;
* Developing and utilising strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication;
* Assisting the NUM of Recovery and DSU in developing, coordinatin,g and facilitating education programs, quality activities, HR duties, and WH&S and risk assessments across Recovery and DSU;
* Adhering to the 8 NSQHS Clinical Standards and driving quality and safety initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current Registration with AHPRA;
* Experience in Day Surgery or Recovery units;
* Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in Recovery, DSU, or critical care environment;
* High-level interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent communication and customer service skills;
* Positive attitude and able to work in a team and work well independently;
* The desire to go above and beyond and provide a high standard of service;
* Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
* Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (anaesthetics and recovery)/Critical Care (or working towards);
* Working with Children check;
* Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Darwin, is a licensed 122-bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Surgery, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT, and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
