As our business continues to grow, we are expanding the SNK IS Mechanical Division and are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Fitter / Pump Fitter.

We work with major industrial clients across mining, government utilities, and energy infrastructure, where reliability, safety, and technical capability are essential.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Pump Fitter.
This role offers a mix of workshop and site-based work across water, wastewater, mining and infrastructure projects, with opportunities for field service and shutdown work.
You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on pumps and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation, overhaul, and maintenance of pumps (centrifugal, submersible, etc.)
* Pump rebuilds and full overhauls (strip, assess, rebuild, test)
* Mechanical fitting on pipelines, valves, and associated infrastructure
* Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical issues
* Working with HDPE, steel, and ductile iron pipe systems
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
* Carrying out shutdown, breakdown, on-call and reactive maintenance work
* Ensuring all works comply with safety and quality standards
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting (or equivalent)
* Strong experience with pump systems (mining/water/wastewater highly regarded)
* Proven ability in pump rebuilds and overhauls
* Experience working on civil, mining or infrastructure projects
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* White Card (Construction Induction)
* Current Driver’s Licence
Preferred:
* Mining industry experience
* Field service experience (onsite breakdowns and callouts)
* Extensive pump rebuild and overhaul experience
* Experience working in remote or high-pressure environments
