Make your mark as a Property Assessing Specialist, a hands-on role where technical expertise and customer advocacy come together to deliver meaningful outcomes. Based in Dunedin, you’ll assess property loss and damage, quantify repairs and reinstatement costs, and negotiate fair settlements that put customers first. Working at the intersection of precision, empathy and purpose, you’ll collaborate with customers and partners to resolve claims with confidence and care. Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do
• Assess property loss or damage claims, accurately determining repair, replacement or reinstatement costs.
• Manage end-to-end claims activities, including reporting, referrals and settlement negotiations in line with policy and delegated authority.
• Engage directly with customers to explain assessments, negotiate outcomes and deliver a high standard of service during sensitive situations.
• Coordinate repairs and replacements by working with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation while handling sensitive information with discretion and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in accurately assessing replacement, repair, or reinstatement costs and adept negotiation of indemnity settlements.
• Technical expertise pertinent to property assessment.

• Goal-oriented with a continuous pursuit of process enhancements.
