About the role

We currently have positions available for reliable and passionate Home Care Workers to join our team providing care support in Wagga Wagga, NSW. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client‐focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

This is a casual to part‐time position, initially starting on a casual basis with transition to part‐time expected once regular shifts are allotted.

Responsibilities

• Working within a person‐centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
• Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties
• Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
• Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
• Preparing food, feeding clients and administering medications
• Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
• Responding to emergency situations

Qualifications & Criteria

• Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent (essential)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
• Comprehensive car insurance
• 3 COVID‐19 vaccinations (mandatory)
• National Police Check (valid within the last 3 years)
• NSW Working with Children Check
• Driver's Licence
• First Aid
• CPR Certificate (valid within last 12 months)
• Hands‐on experience may be considered if Cert III is not held

Job Details

• Job Types: Part‐time, Casual (initially casual, transition to part‐time expected)
• Pay: $31.64 – $40.84 per hour
• Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Public holidays
  • Weekend availability
• Supplementary Pay: Penalty rates
• Work Location: In person
• Willingness to travel: 100% (preferred)
• Work Authorisation: Australia (required)
