About The Role
This is a permanent part-time position available for a Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mobility and exercise programs to residents under the direction of a physiotherapist, as well as recreational and therapeutic activity programs under the guidance of an occupational therapist.
Additional responsibilities include participating in the planning and organisation of therapy programs, delivering a range of therapy-based activity programs, and maintaining accurate documentation in line with guidelines.
The role also involves accompanying resident groups on outings and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements of the Role
* Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
* A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (desirable but not essential).
* Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
* Sound written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Have empathy with the elderly.
* Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
