CR Powered by Epiroc is looking for a proactive and self‐motivated Technical Document Officer to join our technical documentation team where you will work on a wide range of technical documentation and communications to support our product range throughout its lifecycle.
What you'll be doing
* Building functional relationships with relevant SMEs both internal and external to the business to efficiently leverage their product knowledge and experience, allowing the Technical document officer to collect, validate and formalize technical information necessary to support our products.
* Getting hands‐on, visiting sites or workshops where needed to understand real‐world applications and document processes.
* Producing technical documentation to industry leading standards of communication, clarity and accuracy. This will involve the creation of specialised graphics from CAD models and formatting to ensure adherence to both Epiroc and industry best practice standards.
* Maintaining an extensive library of existing technical documents within the CR powered by Epiroc EPDM system and document management platform for accuracy, relevancy, interpretability and accessibility in accordance with Epiroc procedures.
* Actively involved in improvement projects to document creation workflows and systems to support CR powered by Epiroc's commitment to continuous improvement.
The types of documentation within the scope
* Parts manuals
* Pre‐sales materials such as catalogues, application guides, etc.
* Installation and fitting instructions
* Repair and maintenance documentation
The successful applicant will have
* Tertiary qualification in a technical field such as engineering or appropriate trade qualifications relevant to the industrial sector.
* Demonstrated background in technical writing including written communication, graphics generation and professional document formatting for industrial applications.
* Experience using Solidworks suite of programs and PDM systems for technical diagram creation and management.
* Proficient in Adobe suite of programs for professional document creation (Indesign, Illustrator, etc.).
* Relevant experience in heavy industry, with mining industry preferred.

* Aptitude for mechanical / electrical systems and ability to understand, evaluate and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical / electrical systems.
* Excellent communicator who can interpret technical information and translate it as required to different audiences while maintaining core concepts.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality outputs.
* Confident working with engineers and technical stakeholders.
