Providing services in the civil and mining sectors and specialising in infrastructure, concrete construction, and mining services, AWCON has been involved in large-scale construction projects ranging from $1 million to $100 million in value while partnering with Tier 1 clients across Australia.
We are seeking a motivated and capable Trades Assistant to join us and contribute to our success offering a permanent position and a Mon-Fri roster.
About the Role
As a Trades Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the workshop team by assisting with mechanical tasks, equipment maintenance, and repairs.
This hands-on position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced tradespeople, develop your skills, and contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the workshop in a collaborative and quick-paced environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:
- A positive attitude toward workplace health and safety, with a strong commitment to being a motivated and reliable team player.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or hands-on experience in a workshop environment.
- Willingness to assist tradespeople with maintenance, repairs, and new equipment fit outs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- A current Driver Licence (a Heavy Vehicle Licence is desirable but not essential).
- A Construction White Card – or the ability to obtain one.
