The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Cadastral Land Surveyor to join their growing Newcastle team. With a strong pipeline of work and continued expansion across NSW, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and respected surveying firm. This role offers consistent cadastral work, strong internal support, and flexibility, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality surveying outcomes. As a key member of the Newcastle team, you will be responsible for delivering cadastral land surveying services across a variety of projects. You will work alongside Registered Surveyors and experienced Surveyors within a collaborative and well-resourced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct diverse cadastral survey fieldwork
* Prepare accurate and detailed survey field notes
* Capture site photography and supporting documentation
* Draft detailed plans using AutoCAD and/or Magnet software
* Ensure compliance with relevant NSW surveying legislation
With a broader team of 25+ surveyors across Sydney and Newcastle, jobs are allocated close to your home where possible. A dedicated Operations team manages client interactions, and an in-house Drafting team supports documentation — allowing you to focus on surveying delivery. Flexible working arrangements are available, including the ability to finalise notes and data from home or from the Parramatta office.
About You
* Full working rights in Australia
* Minimum 2 years' cadastral land surveying experience in NSW
* Tertiary qualifications in surveying (BSc Surveying or TAFE equivalent)
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and CivilCAD
* Understanding of the Surveyors & Spatial Information Act
* Experience using survey equipment such as Trimble
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
