As our business continues to evolve, we are creating a new
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst
position to strengthen strategic insight, performance management and decision support across the organisation.
This role plays a critical part in enabling informed decision making through high quality financial analysis, modelling, forecasting and reporting. You will work closely with finance leaders, business partners and government stakeholders, contributing to major investment, budget and strategic planning outcomes.
Your Role In Action
The FP&A Analyst will support business planning, performance analysis and modelling activity across Horizon Power. Key responsibilities include:
Financial modelling & analysis
- Build, maintain and enhance financial models for scenario planning, investment appraisal and strategic initiatives.
Performance reporting
- Prepare monthly performance packs, variance analysis and executive dashboards.
Budgeting & forecasting
- Assist with corporate budgets, forecasts and long‑range planning.
Prepare budget and forecasting papers and submissions to Government.
Stakeholder engagement & process improvement
- Communicate financial insights clearly to senior leaders, executives and non‑financial stakeholders.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation using tools such as PowerBI and Alteryx.
Skills And Experience
You are an analytically strong finance professional who enjoys working in a complex environment and turning data into meaningful insight.
You Will Bring
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
* Membership (or progress towards) CA, CPA or a recognised equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience in FP&A, financial analysis or management accounting.
* Strong capability in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non‑financial stakeholders
* Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
* Experience with the WA State Government Strategic Information System (SIMS) would be beneficial.
