Overview
HEAL Specialist Urgent Care offers emergency-level expertise in a community setting, delivering the calibre of care expected in hospital EDs but in a more accessible, efficient, and supportive environment. HEAL operates two state-of-the-art clinics in Newcastle and Maitland.
At HEAL you'll find a FACEM led clinic working with a multi-disciplinary team, which includes FACEMs, GPs and ACCREMs, emergency trained NPs and emergency trained nurses. There is no on-call requirement and no night shifts, with sustainable and flexible rostering. A medical scribe assists with daily administrative tasks to allow focus on consulting and clinical decision making. High patient turnover and patient flow with no access block, supported by technology and IT systems that make healthcare easier for both patients and doctors.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in an urgent care setting in alignment with FACEM-led guidance.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver timely, high-quality patient care.
- Utilise the medical scribe to focus on clinical decision making and patient management.
Qualifications
- GP, ACCRM and FACEM roles available
- Newly qualified GPs, ACCRM’s and FACEM’s are encouraged to apply
- Robust problem-solving skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Registered medical practitioner with valid certification and licenses
- Experience in an emergency or urgent care setting is preferred
