High Voltage Electrician - Substation Trade Technician (Townsville)at Powerlink Queensland
Based in Townsville, reporting to the Substation Section Team Leader within the Field Delivery Group, you'll join a highly skilled team dedicated to the operation of Powerlink's high voltage substation network.
Responsibilities
Carry out maintenance, repair, construction, and operation of transmission substation plant and equipment in line with standards and procedures.
Investigate faults, provide feedback to stakeholders, and look for opportunities to improve efficiency and processes for the benefit of the wider organisation.
Join friendly and spirited field crews and drive a strong Safety First culture by following and role-modelling best practices.
Perform critical maintenance, commissioning and project works.
Resolve complex problems and support the network to deliver safe and reliable electricity to more than 5 million Queenslanders.
What you'll Bring
Qld Electrical Fitter / Mechanic licence
Current LVR & CPR Certification
High Risk Work Licence - Elevated Work Platform
A current 'C' Class drivers licence
We'd Also Love You To Have
Demonstrated ability to maintain, construct and operate substation equipment rated up to 330 kV
A background in safely maintaining, constructing and operation of High Voltage electrical substation equipment with a Transmission, Distribution or large-scale Contractor organisation
The ability to travel to substations and work closely with team members; you will enjoy variety in your work, complex problem solving, and a passion for providing high quality outcomes.
