JOB DESCRIPTION
Join Sunshine Coast Health as a Registered Nurse (NG5) in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Gympie Hospital. You'll deliver person-centred care in a busy 24/7 ED, providing initial treatment, resuscitation and stabilisation for adults and children, and supporting the co-located short-stay unit. This role suits a nurse consolidating from novice to proficient who exercises sound clinical judgement, leads safe, high-quality care, and contributes to education, research and service improvement
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
Deliver safe, person-centred nursing care aligned to NMBA standards, NSQHS Standards and the SCH Safe Care Framework.
Practise with increasing autonomy; take accountability for your actions; delegate and supervise ENs and other care workers.
Drive safety and quality improvement: participate in continuous improvement and escalate risks/concerns.
Contribute to education and research; provide clinical leadership and collaborate in governance.
Salary rates: $41.73 - $53.53 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (part time position available, hours negotiable) Applications will remain current for 12 months.
