Position: Financial/Accounting Controller - Australia and New Zealand (ANZ)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Financial/Accounting Controller for our ANZ region. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, statutory reporting, and tax returns for our legal entities in ANZ. Reporting to the International Senior Controller, you will manage the local accounting team, ensure compliance with country regulations, and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
People Management: Lead and develop the ANZ accounting team, foster cross-functional and global collaboration, and contribute to long-term organizational strategy.
Financial Accounting: Oversee and approve accounting entries, manage closing processes, collaborate on revenue accounting, and ensure accurate intercompany transactions.
Financial Control: Oversee payroll and bank payments, prepare cashflow statements, monitor governance, and implement control changes.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax obligations including Corporate Income tax, GST, payroll tax, and collaborate on transfer pricing documentation.
External Reporting: Review and approve financial statements and tax returns, manage auditor relationships, and stay informed on regulations.
Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in accounting, reporting, and compliance processes.
Candidate Profile:
10+ years relevant experience in a similar role
Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualification
Effective collaborator in a global matrix organization
Strong change management and process improvement skills
Comprehensive knowledge of tax compliance and statutory reporting
Proficiency in US GAAP or IFRS standards
Excellent communication skills in English
Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
