My client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join their Australian Sales team and play a key role in driving growth within their global freight forwarding solutions division.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with new clients, identifying business sales opportunities, maintaining a sales pipeline within the freight forwarding & supply chain industry sector.
Reporting to the Director of Sales - Global Division,
* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
* Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in the freight and logistics sector.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored freight solutions.
* Work towards KPI's and sales targets.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
* Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform sales strategies.
* Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports for senior management.
To be considered for this opportunity;
* Proven experience in sales and new business within the freight, logistics, or supply chain industry.
* You MUST have local Freight Forwarding experience (non -negotiable)!!!!!
* Strong understanding of freight solutions, including air, ocean, road, and road transport.
* Demonstrated ability to generate new business and drive revenue growth.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field advantageous
* Existing network within the freight and logistics industry.
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, within the Freight Forwarding sector
* Experience in managing cost budgets and sales forecasts
* Must be able to attend sales meetings with customers and participate in tenders when required.
* Knowledge of customs regulations and international trade compliance.
