Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to lead and deliver cladding and construction projects from design through to completion. This role involves overseeing site activities, scheduling, workforce management and ensuring quality, safety and compliance standards are met. A key focus will be on cladding systems from estimation and installation to complex rectification projects, requiring strong technical knowledge, problem-solving and leadership skills
Duties &Responsibilities
Project Management
* Oversee cladding and façade projects from design and tendering through to construction, completion, and handover.
* Manage complex rectification works including Cladding Safety Victoria projects.
Estimation & Contracts
* Prepare take-offs and mark-ups (Bluebeam or similar), manage project budgets, progress claims, subcontractor claims, and variations.
* Lead estimation and contract administration for cladding and related lock-up items.
Stakeholder & Client Liaison
* Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, building surveyors, and other stakeholders.
* Conduct regular site and project meetings, prepare progress reports and minutes, and ensure project alignment.
Procurement & Supply Chain
* Source and appoint subcontractors, develop scopes of work, conduct tenders, and manage supply chain arrangements with manufacturers and suppliers.
Site Leadership
* Lead and coordinate carpentry, cladding installation, rendering, and painting teams on-site.
* Plan and schedule site activities to meet targets while managing timesheets, reporting, and project systems.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards, building codes, and permit requirements.
* Develop and maintain SWMS, monitor on-site safety and quality, and implement effective quality management systems.
Technical Expertise
* Provide technical and engineering advice, review designs, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of cladding materials, installation methodologies, and access requirements.
* Collaborate with design teams for complex façade systems.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Project Delivery
* Effectively manage projects from design through to handover, ensuring timeframes and budgets are met.
* Communicate project changes, risks, or delays promptly to stakeholders.
Quality & Compliance
* Ensure all projects comply with HSEQ standards, building codes, and permit requirements.
* Prepare and maintain SWMS and quality documentation for all project stages.
Safety Performance
* Proactively maintain safe worksites and address hazards to prevent incidents.
* Conduct regular site safety checks and ensure corrective actions are followed.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear, timely, and professional communication.
* Facilitate regular project meetings and provide accurate progress updates.
Procurement & Subcontractor Management
* Effectively manage subcontractor and supplier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery.
* Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure scopes of work are met.
Financial & Reporting
* Accurately prepare and review project budgets, claims, and variations.
* Provide clear, timely, and accurate financial and project reports to management.
Technical Expertise
* Provide sound technical and engineering advice to resolve project challenges.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cladding materials, installation methods, and industry requirements.
Key Competencies and Experiences
* A qualified carpenter (Cert III Carpentry) with 7+ years trade experience
* Experienced in residential construction, ideally in framing and cladding installations and lock up
* Confident managing trades and stakeholders onsite
* A strong communicator and problem-solver who can think on your feet
* Organised, with solid time management skills and attention to details
