About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking experienced Orderlies to join our team on a casual basis. This role will see you working as part of our rotational roster with flexible shift times available. In this role you will work within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their stay with us.

Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 336 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct. Specialities include and are not limited to 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. Gold Coast Private Hospital is continually growing and offers exciting opportunities and professional career pathways in health care.

Responsibilities
* Patient Assistance and transfers including the use of lifting machine and bed movers.
* General housekeeping duties e.g. cleaning beds, organising linen, restocking of equipment, and waste management.
* Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures.
* Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients.
* Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients.
* Work as an active team member to support all work tasks.
* Remove dirty linen / ensure clean linen is readily available.
Qualifications
* Cert 3 in Health Services or interest in obtaining
* Experience as an orderly in a hospital environment preferred.
* Vaccination and serology records prior to commencement.
* Working with Children check.
* Commitment to service excellence.
* Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* High level attention to detail.

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
