Screen Producers Australia are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented coordinator to work with the SPA Connect Manager to support SPA Connect at Australia’s premier screen business and networking event, SCREEN FOREVER.
If you are highly organised, calm under pressure and a natural planner who thrives in a busy role, we want to meet you. You should have excellent communication skills, a professional approach, and pride yourself on prioritising, organising and managing competing tasks effectively.
Ideally you have experience in the film and television industry, conferences, festivals or major events, and an interest in the Australian Screen industry is essential.
About SCREEN FOREVER & SPA CONNECT
Presented by Screen Producers Australia, SCREEN FOREVER is Australia’s premier event for screen industry professionals. Delegates gather over three days for networking events, keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, roundtables and pitching opportunities. The three-day Conference and Marketplace culminates with the SPA Awards, highlighting industry excellence, and the closing night Awards Gala party. The Online Global Market takes place across two days after the in-person event.
SPA Connect is the business arm of the SCREEN FOREVER Conference, where buyers and sellers connect to discuss projects, develop deals and forge alliances.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Market Manager and a small, nimble team to plan, build and execute a multi-day, multi-platform conference.
- Be a proactive, friendly and discreet contact point for the international delegation, producers, sponsors, commissioners and other SPA Connect participants.
- Support the Market Manager to deliver all aspects of SPA Connect and related industry events and initiatives.
- Administer and coordinate all marketplace participants locally and globally to ensure a positive experience.
- Coordinate travel and logistics for international delegations.
- Ensure all producers and buyers are correctly registered and prepared for the SPA Connect Market.
- Assist in planning meetings for domestic and international producers and buyers.
- Prepare and publish buyer profiles and other information to the event website.
- Respond to queries from SPA Connect participants and delegates.
- Prepare schedules for SPA Connect participants and manage timings for meetings.
- Monitor participant availability and communicate changes to the Market Manager and team.
- Liaise with SPA Connect partners and stakeholders to collate content or media for the market and ensure content is updated and accurate before and during the conference.
- Be in office during Screen Forever on the Gold Coast and assist with running SPA Connect.
- Assist with other administrative duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure. Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- A natural team player with effective communication to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex scheduling challenges.
- Some experience using a Content Management System for web publishing.
- Experience creating and administering Zoom meetings (or similar) for business.
- Confident in sourcing, saving and publishing large amounts of information and assets.
- Willingness to work extra hours in the lead-up to Screen Forever as needed.
- Must be available to travel to and work on the Gold Coast from 26 to 30 April 2026 (flights and accommodation provided).
- Available from 1 December 2025 until 1 May 2026.
The preferred arrangement is in-person office attendance at the SPA offices in Surry Hills, Sydney.
