Hoban Recruitment is seeking an experienced Principal Policy Officer to join our client, a State Government Agency.
As a team leader, you will work with internal customers to model and document current and future state business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements. This role requires leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide timely and authoritative advice on complex policy issues
* Recommend policy and legislative options to optimize and responsibly use Queensland's state land resources
* Develop and manage projects, including consultation with stakeholders
* Prepare and oversee the preparation of complex reports, policy submissions, briefing notes, legislation, presentations, speeches, publications, and correspondence
**Requirements:**
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Leadership experience in research, development, and progression of issues and discussion papers for public consultation and government approval processes
* Adaptable communication style, approach, and attitude
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience with team management
* Australian citizenship
* Full vaccination against COVID-19
