The Role
As a cabinet maker in our team, you will play a key role in crafting and installing beautifully designed and functional cabinetry. You will bring your technical expertise, creativity and precision to every project, ensuring exceptional results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Woodworking & Joinery: Expertly cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials to create high quality products.
* Cabinet Design & Construction: Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to bring designs to life.
* Tool & Machinery Operation: Proficiently operate hand tools, power tools and various machinery.
* Precision & Attention to Detail: Produce high-quality finishes and ensure accurate measurements in your work.
* Installation & Fitting: Install cabinets, kitchens and custom furniture with skill and efficiency.
* Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot design or construction issues to find practical solutions.
* Workplace Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
* Customer Service & Communication: Collaborate effectively with clients, designers, and suppliers to meet project needs.
* Project Management: Manage time, materials and workflow efficiently to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
* A recognised trade qualification in cabinet making, shopfitting or furniture making.
* Proven experience (preferred 2+ years) in cabinet making and woodworking, including installation and exposure to solid timber and timber veneer work.
* A strong mix of technical expertise and craftsmanship.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
* Knowledge of Australian workplace safety standards and a commitment to compliance.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and team members.
* Ability to manage projects and work efficiently under deadlines.
