This State Government team is leading a complex and high-profile body of work with significant reform and delivery priorities. Due to increased demand, an experienced AS07 Project Officer - Policy & Programs is required to step in and provide immediate capability across policy development and program implementation.
Your new role
As the Project Officer - Policy & Programs, you will operate at a senior level, leading the development, review and implementation of complex policy initiatives while coordinating program activities across a multifaceted portfolio. You will provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders, prepare high-level briefs and submissions, and ensure work is delivered in line with legislative and governance requirements.
This role requires sound judgement, strong analytical capability and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will engage broadly across the department and with external stakeholders to drive outcomes and support informed decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated AS07 (or equivalent) experience in policy and programs
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret legislation
* Experience preparing executive briefs, submissions and reports
* Proven capability operating within government governance frameworks
* Ability to manage stakeholders and deliver to tight timeframes
* Availability to commence immediately for the duration of the contract
* A current DHS WWCC
