We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Store Leader to run the day-to-day operations of a premium furniture and homewares showroom in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on retail leader who's passionate about great design, craftsmanship, and creating memorable customer experiences.
About The Role
As Store Leader, you'll oversee all aspects of the showroom - from delivering an exceptional customer journey to achieving sales targets, managing a small team, and maintaining a visually stunning retail environment. You'll lead by example, drive performance, and foster a positive, high-energy team culture.
You're an empathetic, genuine, and motivated retail leader who loves creating inspiring customer experiences. You approach each day with curiosity, humility, and a commitment to doing things better - while celebrating the strengths of your team along the way.
About You
* 5-10+ years' experience in retail store management, ideally within the homewares, furniture, or lifestyle sectors.
* Proven success in driving sales, managing teams, and maintaining outstanding store presentation.
* Passionate about customer experience and design-led retail.
* Hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Strong understanding of retail KPIs, operations, and scheduling.
* Confident using POS systems, CRM tools, and Google Workspace.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Sales
* Deliver a world-class in-store and post-purchase experience.
* Achieve and exceed sales and conversion targets while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
* Build long-term relationships through personalised clienteling and service excellence.
* Ensure all customer interactions reflect the brand's story and values.
Team Leadership
* Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team.
* Create a motivating, supportive environment built on trust and accountability.
* Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews to drive engagement and consistency.
Store Operations
* Oversee daily operations including opening/closing procedures, stock management, and visual merchandising.
* Maintain showroom presentation to reflect seasonal and promotional updates.
* Manage rosters, timesheets, and budgets to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with WHS, security, and operational procedures.
Commercial Performance
* Monitor key performance indicators including sales, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
* Collaborate with head office teams across marketing, product, and logistics to deliver campaigns, product launches, and customer deliveries.
* Provide reporting and insights to inform business strategy.
