About the Role
As Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll support the NUM to lead nursing teams, maintain high-quality care, and ensure smooth ward operations. You’ll build staff skills, create efficient systems, and maintain strong relationships across the unit.
• Support nurses and guide less experienced staff
• Build consistent, patient-focused care across the unit
• Assist NUM with staffing, rostering and resource planning
• Drive practice improvements and implement service changes
• Maintain collaborative links with teams and external partners
About You
You’re a confident and supportive nurse ready to lead teams and deliver high-quality care across the unit.
• Registered Nurse with NMBA registration and current practising certificate
• Supervise and guide students, enrolled and junior nurses
• Communicate clearly and resolve issues with professionalism
• Prioritise workloads and manage tasks under minimal supervision
• Apply quality improvement and safe practice standards in care
