Permanent opportunity for a HR professional
Your new will be responsible for supporting the HR Manager and coordinates the daily activities of the Human Resources team by providing accurate and timely human resources advice, support and consultancy services to all directorates of the organisation. This position covers all aspects of Human Resources including Employee/Industrial Relations, Learning & Development, Recruitment & Selection, Business & System Improvement, Payroll and Work Health & Safety support, as well as policy development, legislation interpretation, performance management, and business reporting and projects as required. This role manages a small team and provides daily management, effective coaching and mentoring, and advice to the team.
To be successful in this position you need to demonstrate;
Essential criteria:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, e.g. human resources, employee relations, law.
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and ability to interpret Awards, Agreements, legislation and policies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate with and influence a range of different stakeholders
- Experience in performance management, investigation and disciplinary processes
- Exceptional organisation skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Experience with systems and improving systems of work
- Is a proactive leader, takes initiative and is self-motivated
- Is able to lead, develop, coach and motivate a team and other employees
- Substantial human resources experience in a multi-disciplined organisation
- Experience in end-to-end recruitment and HRIS / Payroll system
- Experience in people management related to Human Resources functions
- National Police Clearance (ability to obtain)
This is a permanent position which has a salary of $97,000 - $114,000 gross per annum plus superannuation. Employees can take advantage of outstanding benefits including 5 weeks annual leave, 17.5% leave loading, 8 weeks paid parental leave for eligible employees, superannuation co-contribution options and generous personal leave entitlements after 12 months continuous employment.
