Job Title: Auxiliary Firefighter
About the Role
This exciting opportunity exists within a dynamic emergency services agency, working collaboratively with other services and stakeholders to deliver high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services. As an auxiliary firefighter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
* Responding to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team
* Promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through education and awareness activities
* Developing and maintaining competencies through regular training and drills
* Maintaining attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
* Operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
* Australian Permanent Resident Status
* Manual C Class driver's licence
* Ability to commit to attending incident and emergency calls (50% of calls as a day worker or 30% as a shift worker)
* Ability to attend regular drill and training sessions (75% attendance required)
