An excellent full-time opportunity is available for a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist to join a growing regional health service based in Victoria, less than two hours from Melbourne.
This is a fantastic chance to step away from the city and work within a supportive, well-established department delivering a wide variety of anaesthetic services.
The Hospital
This is the main healthcare provider for the region, supporting a population of approximately 120,000 people.
You will be joining a collaborative and expanding team, including:
• 11 Consultant Anaesthetists
• 7 Registrars
• 2 PGY1 Doctors
• Acute Pain Nurse Consultant
• Research Nurse Coordinator
The department is an accredited training site and provides anaesthetic services across a broad range of specialties, including:
• General Surgery
• Orthopaedics
• Obstetrics & Gynaecology
• ENT
• Urology
• Dental Surgery
• Endoscopy and ERCP
• Medical Imaging
• Paediatric Surgery (down to 2 years)

The Ideal Candidate
To be considered, you will meet one or more of the following:
• Fellowship of ANZCA
• IMG assessed by ANZCA as substantially comparable or partially comparable requiring a maximum of 52 weeks site accreditation.
• Hold (or be eligible for) Specialist Registration with AHPRA
• Minimum 12 months recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia
