Purpose
The Pipe Bender Programmer/Setter/Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC pipe-bending machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and specifications. The role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain high-quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
Key Accountabilities
Operate, load, and unload material and parts.
Program and set up CNC pipe-bending machines for each job.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job sheets to determine bending specifications.
Select and install appropriate tools, dies, and mandrels.
Conduct trial runs and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality.
Monitor machine performance and make real-time corrections as needed.
Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience as a CNC pipe bender, programmer, or setter/operator.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use measuring instruments (verniers, calipers, etc.).
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of tooling and machine setup for different materials and thicknesses.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic computer literacy for programming and data entry.
Understanding of ISO **** and ISO ***** quality systems.
