We service light and commercial vehicles, heavy vehicles, marine diesel engines, and more — and we're growing. We're looking for a qualified general Motor Mechanic to join our close‐knit crew.
In this role, you'll apply your trade skills across a diverse range of vehicles and systems, from routine servicing and logbook maintenance through to fault diagnosis and component repair. You'll work in a well‐equipped workshop alongside experienced tradies who take pride in doing the job right. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who is reliable, detail‐oriented, and takes ownership of their work.

Responsibilities
* Carrying out scheduled servicing and logbook maintenance on light vehicles and light commercial vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications.
* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using scan tools and workshop diagnostics.
* Repairing or replacing worn, damaged, or faulty components across a wide range of vehicle systems.
* Servicing and repairing key systems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, and exhaust.
* Diagnosing and repairing basic automotive electrical systems including batteries, alternators, starters, lighting, and wiring circuits.
* Working with modern ECU‐controlled systems and onboard diagnostics.
* Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to ensure safe and efficient operation following repairs.
* Conducting road tests to confirm the quality and performance of completed work.
* Performing tyre, wheel, and alignment checks and adjustments.
* Inspecting vehicles for roadworthiness and safety compliance.
* Completing job cards, service reports, and maintenance records accurately and thoroughly.
* Communicating effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair needs and recommendations.
* Following manufacturer specifications, warranty procedures, and repair guidelines at all times.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workshop environment in accordance with WHS procedures.
* Ensuring the safe use of lifting equipment, power tools, hoists, and hazardous material.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
* Other Cert III or IV qualification relevant to Motor Mechanic (General) – ANZSCO 321211.
* 3 to 5 + years of experience preferred.
* Proven hands‐on experience as a qualified light vehicle mechanic or general motor mechanic in a workshop environment.
* Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults across a range of vehicle systems.
* Experience using diagnostic scan tools and interpreting technical data, service manuals, and wiring diagrams.
* Solid working knowledge of engine, transmission, braking, steering, suspension, and cooling systems.
* Experience carrying out logbook servicing in line with manufacturer specifications.
* Familiarity with ECU‐controlled systems and modern onboard diagnostics.
* Experience completing accurate service documentation, job cards, and maintenance records.
* A current, valid driver's licence is essential.
