Irrigated Cotton Operators & Irrigation Farmhands
Overview
An irrigated cotton and broadacre cropping operation located in North West NSW are seeking irrigation farmhands.
Job Description
The roles are varied, encompassing all aspects of cotton farming from tractor/machinery operation to irrigation. There are ongoing/permanent positions available to Australian residents, and seasonal positions for Working Holiday Visa holders. A farming background and experience with farm machinery operations is preferred but all applicants will be considered.
Key Requirements
* Experience with cropping, specifically cotton is desirable.
* Ability to achieve optimal crop production and efficient water management.
* Previous experience in the operation of modern farm machinery and GPS.
* Experience operating Cotton Pickers would be advantageous
* The ability to work independently and take direction
* Experience operating large self‑propelled sprayers
* General knowledge and practical application of farm machinery.
* Preventative maintenance and repairs is advantageous.
