Senior Recruitment Consultant at NES Fircroft | Mining
Role Summary: NES Fircroft are seeking a Senior Project Engineer (SMP) to oversee the successful planning and safe delivery of projects within approved Capital Budget, working client side for our Tier 1 mining client in NSW. This role focuses on Ore Processing, CE Mining and Infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) engineering efforts from project initiation to close-out.
* Ensure projects meet stakeholder requirements and adhere to scope, quality, schedule, and budget constraints.
* Collaborate with Project Supervision and Engineering teams to manage contractor compliance with safety and engineering standards.
* Conduct Project Assurance reviews including Design Reviews, Risk Assessments and integrate Safety in Design principles.
* Implement Value Engineering to provide cost-effective, safe solutions.
* Demonstrate strong safety leadership and ensure effective Critical Controls Management for High-Risk Tasks.
* Track and report project performance, manage Construction Verification, and handle change management processes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, or related field).
* Over 10 years of senior project engineering experience in Resources or Heavy Industries.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project controls software (e.g., SAP, MS Project, Primavera).
