The Settler’s Tavern, part of the renowned Laundy Hotels Group, is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead our busy kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established hospitality group and showcase your culinary and leadership skills in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily kitchen operations.
Plan, develop, and deliver seasonal menus and daily specials.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Manage stock, ordering, and food cost control.
Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health & safety standards.
Train, mentor, and roster kitchen staff to build a strong, motivated team.
Drive efficiency and organisation during peak service periods.
Collaborate with venue management on budgets and menu innovation.
About You
Trade qualifications (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher).
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent knowledge of food safety and WHS compliance.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive team culture.
