EMJC Earthmoving & Plant Hire has been operating since 2008, providing earthmoving plant for hire, heavy haulage and maintenance solutions for the mining, civil and construction industry.
The Opportunity
With branches located in Perth, Newman, Karratha and an onsite team in Collie, an opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Earthworks Supervisor to oversee an earthworks projects based in Collie for a contract period of approximately 5 months.
This role is based in Collie and will therefore be a residential or DIDO position.
Core responsibilities
Liaise within the Supervisory leadership team on-site and the client representatives.
Lead, coordinate and supervise all earthworks activities and associated functions including heavy equipment management, production KPI's, project timelines, mobilisation requirements and on-site haulage.
Manage crews, subcontractors, and heavy equipment to maintain productivity and safety.
Provide production estimates and methodologies to support quotes and/or variations.
Ensure compliance with mine site work health and safety protocols, environmental standards, and project specifications.
Monitor progress and ensure compliance with reporting.
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
Statement of Attainment for S26 - Statutory Supervisor Training
Previous experience supervising earthworks on mine sites or large civil projects.
In depth knowledge of earthmoving equipment, operations mine site regulations and WHS safety requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to interpret plans, Gantt charts and similar.
