We are a not for profit, community owned, non government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and state wide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community based services to children and families. These include post natal depression groups, transition to school and supported playgroups.

**What You Will Do**
In the role of 2IC, you will support the Director in the day to day running of the service as well conducting any administrative and pedagogical responsibilities as required. You will play an integral role in the delivery of high-quality recreation programs and care to all Children.
To be successful, you will need great communication skills, understanding of children and the ability to work positively as part of a team, as well as the availability to work morning and afternoon shifts. You will be required to step up to be the responsible person for the service in the absence of the Director.
Previous leadership experience working with school aged children in environments such as sporting, music, dance, creative arts, summer camps and scouts / guides is highly regarded.
**Selection Criteria**
- Enthusiasm, energy and ability to engage with children
- Demonstrated experience working with children
- Hold a valid paid Working With Children Check
- Evidence of commitment to an inclusive curriculum
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Outstanding skills in communication with families and the community
- Sound understanding of programming and curriculum planning for children 5-12 years including children with special needs
- Demonstrated commitment to work health and safety and the National Quality Framework
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willing to obtain)
- Identify and Respond to Children at Risk Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Diploma of Children's Services (Outside of School Hours) or related qualification (desirable)
- Evidence from the Australian Immunisation Register that you have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination, or a medical contraindication
