Australian Training Company (ATC) is currently seeking a motivated Wall & Floor Tiling Apprentice to join our award-winning host employer based on the Gold Coast.
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a hands-on career in the construction industry while completing a Certificate III in Wall & Floor Tiling. You’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople and learn practical skills on real job sites, both indoors and outdoors.
About the role
As a tiling apprentice, you will learn how to install a range of tiles to create durable and decorative finishes. Under supervision, you will gain experience reading plans, taking measurements, and using tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Duties include:
• Surface preparation, including removing old tiles, grout and adhesives
• Sanding and filling cracks and holes
• Handling materials such as tiles and cement
• Applying adhesive and laying tiles
• Cutting and shaping tiles to fit edges and corners
• Waterproofing
• Grouting and finishing
• Following plans and specifications
