Deliver specialised podiatry services for high-risk foot complications within a multidisciplinary model of care.

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Position Classification: Podiatrist Level 3
Remuneration: $116,892 – $120,680 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)
Location: Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals

Where you'll be working
The High Risk Foot Service operates across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, delivering specialist podiatry care for patients with complex diabetic foot conditions.

* Provides services within multidisciplinary outpatient clinics
* Works closely with Endocrinologists and Vascular Surgeons
* Supports service development and clinical redesign initiatives
* Engages in quality improvement and clinical governance activities

What you'll be doing
Provide advanced podiatry assessment, treatment and management of high-risk foot pathology.

* Deliver specialist care for complex diabetic foot conditions
* Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and ward rounds
* Contribute to service development, quality improvement and research
* Support discharge planning and continuity of care

Essential Requirements

* Current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence
* Current AHPRA Registration as an Allied Health Professional

Selection Criteria

* Demonstrated clinical knowledge and extensive postgraduate experience in the management of high risk foot pathology (including ulceration, infection, neuroarthropathy, and post-amputation management)
* Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve and set priorities in complex situations.
* Demonstrated commitment to research and quality improvement, with the ability to contribute to planning, implementation and evaluation of services
* Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
* Evidence of ability to build and maintain co-operative professional and therapeutic relationships with key stakeholders and patients through the application of well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
* Commitment to participating in and providing ongoing professional development in the area of high risk foot pathology, utilising evidence based practice
