Senior Registrar - Intensive Care
Position within the South Metropolitan Health Service.
About the Role
* Provide high quality, patient centred care to intensive care inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of the Head of Department or Duty Consultant.
* Progress clinical responsibility towards the level of a junior consultant, including accompanying administrative roles, based on satisfactory progress.
* Review and provide advice for patients referred from the Emergency Department, hospital wards and referring hospitals.
* Participate in ICU teaching and education programs, quality improvement activities and handover processes.
* Work with the hospital(s) and health service to achieve National, State, and South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) performance standards and targets, and National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards.
Eligibility and Conditions
* Eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector: Australian citizen or permanent resident.
* Eligible for a fixed term appointment: documentary evidence of entitlement to live and work in Australia for the term of the contract.
* Subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
* Will be placed in a recruitment pool; appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur; pool available until 31/07/2026.
