About Our Team
The Agri Asset Management Unit proactively engages with agri customers experiencing financial difficulty with the aim of identifying solutions and strengthening long-term relationships while being prepared to take decisive action when necessary to safeguard customer and shareholder interests.
We provide our customers with reasonable opportunities to preserve their loan, equity and underlying security; and to minimise and mitigate customer and Bank loss.
The key focus of this role involves direct management of complex workout scenarios requiring intensive management where the aim is to deliver commercially viable outcomes without exposing the Bank to unacceptable risk. You will be responsible for managing a mix of complex and noncomplex files.
**Key accountabilities include:**
Early problem identification and effective information gathering and validation
Genuine and objective consideration of each case
Pursuing Customers' exit from AMU through repatriation, repayment or refinance
Agreeing fair arrangements and timelines with customers
Farm Debt Mediation and progressing legal action when necessary
Delivering superior customer service based on courteous and professional conduct and legislation compliance
Exercising delegated lending authority across your own portfolio and broader Customer groups displaying early signs of financial stress.
This is a permanent role based in Brisbane servicing Customers throughout Queensland and Northern NSW. Overnight travel may be required, particularly initially as you establish relationships.
**Requirements**:
You will need:
Deep knowledge and experience within the Agribusiness sector (mandatory)
Extensive Credit knowledge with particular experience in Agri credit
Risk and compliance management expertise and delivery of related outcomes.
A disciplined approach to managing client groups within Asset Management Unit against agreed timeframes and actions.
Farm Debt Mediation and/or Rural Financial Counsellor experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships with stakeholders and trust as a valued advisor
Tertiary qualifications and relevant certificates preferred
Highly developed negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills
