About the Role
Reporting into the COO, you will be overseeing facilities and building management across the organisation's buildings and sub-leases. You will be experienced in managing multiple properties at one time, liaising with vendors and contractors, and ensuring consistent communication with the building managers. You will be a result-driven self-starter, and trusted to independently oversee the management of the organisation's properties. This is a permanent opportunity, based fully on site in South Melbourne.
Duties
As the Facilities Manager, your duties will include:
* Overseeing the end-to-end coordination and management of the organisation's property portfolio.
* Continuously maintaining and improving all of the organisation's properties.
* Managing leases for sub-tenants and negotiating new leases when required.
* Analysing property management budgets, looking for cost-cutting measures where necessary.
* Maintaining positive working relationships with contractors and vendors, including cleaning staff, air conditioning servicers etc.
* Reviewing quotes for contractors, negotiating when required.
* Assisting with fit-outs and renovations.
* Working cooperatively with landlords and tenants.
Skills & Experience
To be a successful candidate, you will ideally have:
* Minimum two years of experience working in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills.
