Redpath Partners are partnering with one of Australia's most respected development groups to appoint an Assistant Development Manager within its New Business team.
This opportunity sits within a highly regarded team responsible for identifying, shaping and unlocking future development opportunities across a substantial portfolio. Working across a range of asset classes, the team focuses on strategic land use, rezoning, planning pathways, development strategy and value creation initiatives that ultimately shape the group's future pipeline.
Unlike traditional development roles focused on a single project or asset class, this position offers exposure to the front-end of development across multiple sectors, providing a broad understanding of how major projects are conceived, assessed and brought forward.
The Role
Working as part of a highly capable and experienced team, you will support the assessment and progression of opportunities across both existing projects and future development initiatives.
The role offers broad exposure to development strategy, feasibility analysis, planning and rezoning processes, design development, market research and investment decision-making. It's an opportunity to gain experience across multiple asset classes while building a strong understanding of the commercial, planning and strategic considerations that underpin successful development outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the assessment and progression of new development opportunities
* Support rezoning, planning and SSDA processes across a range of projects
* Prepare and maintain development feasibilities and financial analysis
* Undertake market research, due diligence and opportunity assessments
* Assist with development strategy, master planning and design direction
* Support the preparation of submissions, bids and internal investment papers
* Coordinate consultants and stakeholders through planning and strategy phases
* Contribute to initiatives focused on unlocking value across existing assets and broader portfolio holdings

About You
* 2-5 years' experience within property development, advisory, planning, acquisitions or a related field
* Exposure to development feasibilities and commercial analysis
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Curious, analytical and interested in the strategic side of development
* Tertiary qualification in Property, Commerce, Finance, Planning, Engineering or a related discipline
