The Opportunity
u&u Recruitment is partnering with QBuild to recruit an experienced Senior Electrical Supervisor (OO7) to join the Rockhampton team. In this critical role, you will oversee electrical safety and compliance across regional worksites, supervise field staff and subcontractors, and provide expert technical advice to ensure projects are delivered to exacting standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervise and support electrical staff to ensure compliance with safety systems;
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and WHS assessments, including plant and equipment checks;
* Monitor and review electrical safety incidents, risks, and contractor performance;
* Ensure adherence to legislation, standards, and QBuild's Electrical Safety Management System; and
* Provide estimates, technical advice and guidance on electrical installations and upgrades.
Required Experience
We are seeking a proactive and safety‑focused professional with extensive experience in electrical supervision and compliance.
We are looking for candidates with:
* A current Queensland Electrical Work Licence (Mechanic or Fitter / Mechanic);
* Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance and compliance;
* Familiarity with AS/NZ3000 and relevant electrical safety legislation;
* Strong leadership and communication skills to manage staff and contractors; and
* A current WHS General Safety Induction Card and valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence.
